YOUTHBUILD

Youthbuild targets Northern Kentucky youth between the ages of 16 and 24 and teaches construction skills, helps youth develop leadership and job search skills, while contributing to the community. Participants practice their construction skills by participating in construction projects with nonprofit housing agencies.

Why participate in Youthbuild?

Eligibility

To participate in the YouthBuild Program you must:

  • Be within 16-24 years of age and have not graduated from high school.
  • Meet program’s income requirements.

What will I do as a Youthbuild participant?

Youthbuild is an 8-month program where you will spend half of your time in the classroom working on your GED and receiving training in construction. The other half of your time will be spent on a construction site building and renovating homes for low income families. You will also participate in field trips, learn from guest speakers and other participate in leadership development activities.
